The Charging Software Development Kit (Charging SDK) is a high level Java API which implements a service agnostic Service Context called SCAPv2.
The Charging SDK is an implementation of the Diameter Credit-Control Application and the Diameter Base Protocol as specified by IETF in RFC 4006 and RFC 3588.
In 3GPP terms, Charging SDK is a Charging Trigger Function (CTF) implementing the Ro reference point to allow Online Credit Control in cooperation with a Online Charging System (OCS).
The Charging SDK has support for Multiple Services and Multiple Unit environments where the Charging SDK will allow additional service request during an ongoing service (e.g. PTT session) towards the same account This can be achieved by either individual or independent Credit Control Request (CCRs) for each service or by one CCR with individual Multiple Service Credit Control (MSCC) for each service
